My favorite steak restaurant of all is Abe &amp; Louie&#39;s in Boston. But I&#39;m visiting Baltimore this week and that is not an option. Ruth&#39;s Chris Steakhouse is connected to the Pier 5 hotel where I have been staying. Walking to it from the lobby is beyond convenient. After caesar salads, I had their 16-ounce bone-in filet (medium) and it was cooked to perfection. The other person in my party ordered their mini-filet medallions (2 x 4ounce, medium) and shrimp. Also excellent. As you may know, Ruth&#39;s Chris cooks their steaks at 1800 degrees, and then serves everything on plates that are at 500 degrees. It&#39;s sizzling when it arrives at your table and remains hot for quite some time. Do not touch the plates - they are very hot. We ordered roasted brussel sprouts and au gratin potato. We enjoyed both sides, although I personally felt the potato had a little too much cheese for my taste, so I scooped under and around the cheese and all was good. For dessert, we shared their molten chocolate cake with chocolate mousse. It was delicious. I&#39;m glad we shared. We were quite satisfied from the entrees. Their wine list was quite extensive. From their &quot;Bordeaux blends&quot; section, we choose a 2011 Coyam, described as a Super Chilean Red Blend. I hadn&#39;t heard of it before and ordered simply because of good general experience with Chilean wines. It turned out to be a great choice. Decant the wine. It gets better 20 minutes outside the bottle.

I have been to this Ruth&#39;s Chris location about 6 times now and every time it has been wonderful! Our table is always waiting for us as soon as we arrive for our reservation. The filet mignon melts in your mouth and the au gratin potatoes are so cheesy. The steak comes out of a sizzling plate and a definite addition to consider would be the jumbo lump crab meat, bernaise sauce and asparagus! We always consider Ruth&#39;s Chris for any special celebrations!

We came her for a birthday dinner. Service and dinner was excellent. Well worth the money. This was the first time at this location and we did not know about the complimentary valet parking. We know for next time and will definitely return.

This review is specifically for the service I received. The food is never the issue as it was absolutely perfect. I was given a check that was a reprint from 3 hours earlier that had some other party&#39;s food on it along with my food. When I brought it to the attention of my waitress she said &quot;oh yeah that&#39;s from a previous party and your stuff is underneath and that&#39;s everything you ordered. They paid for their stuff as you can see at the bottom of the check&quot; Excuse me can I just get my check with what I ordered so I don&#39;t have to look through a bill from some other party. I ask to speak with a manager and when I explain the situation to him he just brushes it off. Never have I received such horrid service from this place. I&#39;m a little in shock from the service as I have never had an issue here. Oh well, if you eat here I hope you don&#39;t get the same waitress I had.
